My eyesight’s been restored. I see (for the most part) 20/20 without glasses, thanks to PRK surgery. It’s quite a delight to take pictures without glasses fogging up, or smudging the lenses while pressing into the camera. I celebrated my new sight by taking pictures of the backyard in Annapolis. It ranged from sunny to rainy to snowy. You can’t tell by the pictures, however. I practiced shooting with the 500 mm lens — it’s fully manual, so my focusing was difficult. Here’s what I got:

The squirrels love the backyard. My dad collects various treats for them walking back to the car from church.

The east coast has more colorful birds than I am used to in Oregon. The Cardinal is bright red!
